Xiaomi Redmi Watch Move Launches April 21: Features, Price, & What to Expect

Xiaomi has officially confirmed that its latest smartwatch, the Redmi Watch Move, will be launched in India on April 21, 2025. The announcement was made via Xiaomi India’s website and has since been shared on X Post.
The teaser event page confirms that the upcoming smartwatch will have a square AMOLED display that promises high brightness and smooth response time.
Xiaomi claims this will be the “brightest and smoothest” smartwatch display. The promotional images released so far show a sleek, slim design with a rotating digital crown on the right side, suggesting improved navigation and UI controls.
At least two variants have been teased — one with a black case and silicone strap and another in elegant gold/white.
Features of the Redmi Watch Move revealed
The company has also stated that the Redmi Watch Move will offer up to 98.5% accuracy in fitness tracking, although it has not detailed the built-in sensors or tracking modes. This bold claim puts the smartwatch in competition with much more expensive wearables.
Leaked marketing material suggests that the watch will run Xiaomi’s HyperOS, an operating system tailored for improved battery performance and fluid interactions.
According to the leaks, users can expect up to 14 days of battery life on a single charge — a remarkable figure in the smartwatches segment under ₹5,000.
Watch faces, voice support, and design.
In line with Xiaomi’s localization efforts, the Redmi Watch Move is expected to support the Hindi language. Xiaomi is also expected to introduce festive faces likely to target cultural events and festivals celebrated in India.
The watch will come in four color options, two confirmed so far — black and gold/white. Xiaomi will release the complete list of colors at the official launch event.
The Redmi Watch Move is designed to resemble the Redmi Watch 5 that appeared earlier this year in the Chinese region. The latter model comes with a 2.07-inch AMOLED display that can reach an intensity level of 1500 nits — suitable to provide clear outdoor visibility.
The Redmi Watch 5 also had Bluetooth telephony, two-mic noise cancelation, and 5-system GNSS to provide precise location tracking capabilities. At a price point of about ₹6,600, it became an affordable smartwatch benchmark with high-end capabilities.
Expected price and availability
The official price of the Redmi Watch Move has not yet been announced, but based on Xiaomi’s pricing history, the device is expected to launch around the ₹4,999 mark.
The brand has not confirmed whether the smartwatch will be available in other regions after its launch in India.
With its focus on affordability, AMOLED clarity, fitness accuracy, and local voice support, the Redmi Watch Move is poised to become a strong contender in the budget smartwatch market. All eyes are now on April 21, when the device will be fully unveiled.
